Lauren is Research and Corporate Partnership Director at Reform, having joined at the start of 2012. Lauren is involved in research covering education, economic and fiscal policy, the business regulatory and tax environment, infrastructure and growth, and public spending and welfare. Lauren has written for Public Finance magazine, the Yorkshire Post and the Guardian Public Leaders blog, as well as appearing on regional, BBC and overseas radio. Lauren is also responsible for Reform's Corporate Partnership programme.
After graduating in 2004 with a BSc Hons in Computer Science from the University of Durham, Lauren joined the Teach First programme, teaching in an inner-city London Academy. Lauren has since spent over five years teaching ICT and Business Studies in a number of schools, both in the UK and Hong Kong. From 2006 to 2008 Lauren worked as an Equity Research Associate at Citi, the global investment bank, with coverage of the Pan-European utilities sector. In 2009 Lauren completed a research MA in ICT in Education at the Institute of Education.
