NHS failures will stay common until we hold management accountable

Thomas Cawston, Research Director at Reform, has responded to the final report of the inquiry into the failures of care at Mid Staffordshire NHS Foundation Trust, led by Robert Francis QC, with an op-ed in today’s City A.M.

Thomas writes: “Francis placed the responsibility for Mid Staffordshire’s failure firmly with its leadership, especially its board. He is right to do so”(City AM).
