Reform’s new paper will explore how current parental leave arrangements fail to provide many new parents with the flexibility to achieve the work-life balance they wish – fathers are discouraged from taking a greater role in their child’s upbringing, mothers who wish to work are disadvantaged in the job market, and businesses face costs of dealing with complex arrangements. New thinking is required in the debate on parental leave and how parents interact with the job market.
The event is a panel discussion with Q&A followed by lunch in the Tower.
